Tucked down a leafy lane in Zhongzheng District, The Loft Coffee House is the kind of place you discover once and return to forever. The two-story space blends warm exposed brick, mismatched vintage furniture, and walls lined floor-to-ceiling with hand-curated books β each available to read over your coffee.
Founded in 2018 by coffee-obsessed couple David and Mei, the cafe sources its beans directly from small farms in Yunnan, Ethiopia, and Colombia. Every cup is brewed to order using V60 pour-over, AeroPress, or siphon β whichever method best showcases the bean's character.
Wi-Fi is strong, power outlets are plentiful, and the staff genuinely enjoy chatting about coffee origins. If you're looking for a quiet place to settle in for hours, you've found it.
Genuinely my favourite cafe in Taipei. I come here every Tuesday to work and the staff know my order by heart. The Ethiopian V60 is a revelation β fruity, bright, and so complex. Perfect study environment.
Absolutely charming atmosphere. The upstairs nook by the window is the best seat in the house. I spent an entire Sunday reading and drinking cold brew β no one rushed me. The Earl Grey cake is divine.
Visited while travelling through Taipei and this was a highlight of my trip. Staff were incredibly friendly and gave me a mini tour of the different brew methods. They genuinely care about their craft.
